Either than food always being consistent, the waiter always remembers me. Had a good conversation with him and enjoyed the awesome customer service

I had to pay $20 although my meal cost $13. As Willam Parker had previously written in his review, they put the minimum order statement in the menu which was very invisible. The server even struggled to locate it in the menu. I told them that they should have let me know about the minimum order earlier. The lady server told me that it is my responsibility to check the minimum order. I asked her if she does whenever she visits other restaurants. She did not answer my question but repeated the same thing. I did not want any pieces of food from the restaurant and let them charge me $20. The unpleasant moment keeps happening to not only me but other guys. I wish they would learn some lessons about how to run long lasting business.

Food was 3/5, service was horrible. There was a 30 minute period where we weren’t served any food. We asked them to check if our remaining order is coming, if not just cancel it. We were told by the waiter that they’re already on the grill and would be out in a minute. Another 10 minutes passed by, it became obvious it wasn’t on the grill when we asked for it since we still didn’t get our food, so we decided to ask for our check. This is when it gets especially despicable: getting our check took 15 minutes, and it only came after our remaining food came. There was even an awkward moment where utensils and plates were given to us again after clearing it for the check. Those late items were still on the check, and we did not receive any apologies.

This is a fabulous yakitori style restaurant. It's been there forever serving the same fare night after night, year after year, and now it is consistently excellent. The food is cooked over open flame using imported Japanese hardwood charcoal. On any night they can be quite busy so reservations are recommended.
